Intraocular Implants
Dr. Moraru, our partner and consultant in Bucharest, Romania, specializes in intraocular lense implants at the eye clinic there. We received a very generous contribution for one years' supply of lenses, which has caught up with the 185 patients that were on the waiting list to receive these impants. We now have restored vision in the majority of the holocaust survivors and are also assisting the at-risk patients in the general population.

Our Tikun Olam program there has been very advantageous for the Jewish population. A recent seat in the parliament was just given to the president of the Jewish Federation because of the work we do in the general population. We are planning to replenish the implants needed and now have volunteers scheduled to return there early next year.
